About the

artist

Some of Elina Maligina’s work has gained international recognition, including features at Sotheby’s Young Art Auction, Annecy International Animated Film Festival, and a live showcase at the Leopold Museum in Vienna.

With over 15 years of experience in the performing and visual arts, she has completed more than 50 large-scale projects, spanning various disciplines. Her work includes the book Panic, the typeface design HomoType, the photography collection Fragile, the drawing series Eggmood, and live performances such as Development of Interdependence. She has also created audiovisual works like Flesh Flesh, Soulcash, Toilet Paper Man, Project Icon, and the animation film Panic.

Her art has been showcased at prestigious events and institutions, including Cannes Film Festival, Vienna Contemporary Art Fair, Monaco Art Fair, Riga IFF, 21er Haus, Sotheby’s Artist Quarterly, and Impulstanz Festival. With over 100 artworks sold, she continues to establish herself on the international stage.

Currently, Elina's primary focus is the NOME project, which explores society’s overwhelming obsession with information, status, and material excess. At its core, NOME represents the "inner eye"—a call to rediscover authenticity, freedom, and self-awareness in a world that often disconnects us from our true selves.
